I had the pleasure to be interviewed for the All In show with Bryan Weatherford. It’s primarily a conversation about entrepreneurs and the problems they are working on.
It was fun reliving my journey from consumer products into worktech and how we built Vestrics into an HR predictive analytics solution that was eventually acquired by Ultimate Software.
Bryan was very interested in discussing why so many managers are struggling today and the need for manager training, although most haven’t had any. We delved into the need for effective feedback and why praise is nice but doesn’t contribute anything to improve skills. These are a few of the reasons end-of-the-year reviews are so unproductive and frustrating for everyone.
